 Choir Tour Germany & the Netherlands The Tour Dates are set, and we are looking forward to taking our special brand of African Christmas Cheer to audiences in Germany and the Netherlands.

How do your donations help?  FOOD SECURITY You ensure that underprivileged children and families have good nutrition and food-security in vulnerable communities, as we provide 2 cooked meals to hundreds of children daily and food parcels to vulnerable families monthly. |  EDUCATION You help us develop our education centres and provide quality and equality in education for all students, at our independent, private schools in an informal settlement in Mamelodi East and Refilwe, with a new campus coming in 2026. |  MUSIC You provide access to musical and artistic development for marginalised children and youth through our Viva Choir and bi-weekly music tuition at both campuses that showcase our learners' talent and develop their skills. |

 Viva Foundation Brazil In September the founders of Viva Foundation, Leon and Meleney Kriel visited the Viva branch in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
The team in Sao Paolo is lead by Kleyde and Junior Andrade, who have been working with very vulnerable and under-privileged children and youth in the favellas for over ten years. Five years ago, they approached Viva and asked if they could come under the Viva banner. Franchising our concepts has always been our dream,
so we immediately said YES!
The impact of the work is evident. Young people testify of changed lives and having found stability, a refuge from the gang activities in the streets where they live and purpose for their lives. The team focuses on Capoeira training, a sport combining music, percussion, dance and discipline. They also have a feeding scheme, providing meals in the evenings, homework assistance and Bible lessons.
A part of the donations that come in for Christmas gifts and the feeding scheme, will be sent to Brazil to assist with the cost of their activities this December.
Soon donors will also be able to sponsor children in Brazil to cover the cost of the programmes.

 | A bold new project We are introducing an exciting new project “AquaGrow Academy” consisting of a training facility and working aquaponics fish and vegetable production system.
The project has been designed to optimise impact in a multi-faceted approach.
• Education for young aspiring farmers
• Provision of fish and vegetables for the Viva Independent Schools
• Wholesale offset of excess produce to small businesses owners, securing sustainability of the project, while providing small- and informal local businesses income.
Property has been purchased and we are currently in the design phase, introducing the project to potential partners and getting ready to break ground in 2026. |
  | We are now registered in the Netherlands, as Viva Foundation NL! The registration numbers are: Viva Foundation NL: 98504355 [KVK] and 868523598 [RSIN] and we are in the process of opening a Bank Account. The organisation's partners in the Netherlands are strongly focussed on the Music Development focus with strong partnerships having been formed of the past 6 years, with musical institutions in Winterswijk, including the BoogieWoogie Centre. Director Gerben Grooten has been instrumental in the development of music tuition at Viva and the wonderful Viva Choir. Family Grooten has been instrumental in the registration process, with Leander Grooten and his lovely wife, Joanne, serving on the Viva Foundation NL board. |

Christmas Gift Drive With a donation from the Hatfield Christian Church in Pretoria, we were able to prepare 280 Christmas Gifts for children in the Viva Independent Schools. We still need money for the actual Christmas Parties and gifts for children in our Orphans and Vulnerable Children programme, some who are not at our schools, but are cared for by siblings, or grannies in the communities around our schools.

The reason is that donating via Stripe directly, is much cheaper and we are still able to manage all donors, donations and functions as before.
