As we approach the General Election this Fall, we are thrilled to celebrate our Historic Primary Victory and our date with Destiny. Jason Murillo is the 1st ever Conservative Republican and one from NYCHA housing in the Lower East Side of Manhattan District 2 to not only make the Ballot by Thousands of signatures but to WIN a Primary Election, in the most Progressive Democratic District in America, is a True Testament of the Great People of District 2 who Demand Change!

Jason Murillo, aka “DJ Loudmouth,” is a longtime East Village and Lower East Side resident, community organizer, and activist. Growing up in NYCHA public housing, he understands the struggles of his community. An award-winning producer, Co-recipient of The President's Volunteer Service Award from former US President Biden for my decades of community service, small business owner, he has spent decades in entertainment, media and philanthropy, providing school supplies, free haircuts, clothing and toy drives for local families. He has a multicultural heritage proud Italian, Cuban and Greek American, and is also a caretaker for his elderly mother and special needs child. Running as a Republican for New York City Council District 2, he seeks to advocate for public housing, disability services, and community support.

Our Grassroots Movement grows every day, inspiring all those who feel Abandoned & Left Behind by the Radical Left Democrats, Failed Elected Officials, and their Destructive Policies that Crippled our District, City and New York to Get behind a Common Sense Candidate who Will bring Real Change to City Hall and Put our Community and People First!

My Vision for the Future of District 2

Community First: The heart of any neighborhood in our city starts with our communities. My primary focus will be to empowering our community's full potential and ensure everyone has a role in shaping our district's Future.

Public Safety: The safety of all our fellow residents, families, and those doing business, going to school, or visiting our district is my utmost priority and your safety is non-negotiable. My plan includes hiring thousands of more cops to
   patrol & protect our streets, public housing, businesses, schools, and public transit. As well being actively involved with our community councils and outreach teams to help those that are homeless and with drug addictions living on our streets get the help they need and off our streets.

Safeguard NYCHA Residents and Affordable Housing: Safeguarding NYCHA residents and everyone right to safe, clean and affordable housing regardless of which zip code they live in is my priority. I will fight for all tenant rights against bad faith and slum landlords and advocate to reform our NYCHA and Tenant Laws to ensure everyone has a place to call home. 

I will fight for more affordable housing in our district for our hard working New Yorkers and their families, & offer tax and other incentives to encourage developers to build more affordable housing in our district.
